TanOrganic | A Natural Winner

Ok, so the tan might not exactly be a natural one, but guess what – all of the ingredients are! In fact, TanOrganic is 100% Organic certified, packed with ingredients that moisturise and pamper your skin.

I have to admit – I’m actually a total fake tan newcomer. Way back in the day I used to prepare for nights out using the infamous Johnson’s Holiday Skin, complete with that awful smell and not forgetting the orange grime between your fingers.

After years of living in France, where it’s almost impossible to even find a fake tan in a store, and girls don’t have their legs out from October until about June, I somehow missed the entire evolution of fake tanning.

Now that I’ve been back in Ireland for some time, I realized it was definitely time to take action! One problem: I only wear natural cosmetics. From my foundation (Bare Minerals) right down to my shampoo (Pureology), I try to only wear organic or at least products that are free of Parabens, free of sulphates and free from animal testing and with a low environmental impact. Finding that was not any easy feat, until I discovered TanOrganic, who amazingly addressed all of these issues.

So now to actually try the products out, with fingers crossed that a tan packed with so much goodness also has the same performance as the other brands out there! So far from what I can see – it’s even better! It’s impossible to tell that it originated in a bottle. I’m really starting to wonder why I ever spent so many hours under the sun, basking in the heat and covering myself in oils?

Here’s a quick recap on why I loved using TanOrganic so much:

  1. It’s straightforward. TanOrganic have every product you need, from the exfoliating pad to the tanning mitt, tanning oil as well as a tanning lotion so you can decide what you prefer, as well as travel-sized bottles that are flight-friendly and my favourite product of all – the OilArganic – an all natural oil to preserve your tan while letting it fade perfectly, that can also be used for your hair and nails. TanOrganic also have a little pamphlet that talks you through every step (as well as loads of online content if you want a more interactive demonstration!).

  1. It smells amazing. The usual odours that are associated with tanning products were swiftly replaced with the natural perfume of tan organic, leaving skin supple and soft.

  1. It’s guilt free. Packaged in recyclable glass bottles, created with super oils such as aloe vera, argan, avocado, orange peel and much more, PETA certified and even loved by sufferers of eczema, Tan Organic can do no wrong.

And the results! For the first application I used the new Self Tanning Oil and I’m delighted with the colour. I even used a little on my face and then finished my make-up with the TanOrganic DuoBronzer. I feel ready for the summer!

I hope this article was helpful for anyone looking for a fake tan to get that sun-kissed look for the summer, especially without having to pay by ending up with damaged skin, whether from UV rays or chemicals!
