Things to Do in Dubai | Post 2
In my first post about Dubai I wrote of the Desert Safari and Souks, which are definitely a must for anyone visiting Dubai for the first time. This time around, it’s all about food and drink!
Every Friday in Dubai there are brunches, not the kind of brunches that you’ll find in European cities, but more on par with New York or Hong Kong. Friday in the Middle East is the rest of the world’s Saturday and brunch can easily turn into a day long affair!
To say that brunch in Dubai is an extravagant event would be an understatement, and of course, the all you can eat and all you can possibly drink affair is followed by an after party. We continued our afternoon at N’dulge which is also at Atlantis, although a quick bus ride away. The evening was spent at Pacha, where you can reserve for a very interesting dinner with a circus.
Apart from a Dubai brunch experience, climbing the Burj Khalifa is also something that is an integral part of Dubai! We had dinner at At.mosphere, on the 122nd floor of the Armani Hotel. Make sure to book well in advance, this place is absolutely incredible, and one of the only restaurants that offered more than a salad for vegetarians.
Lastly, if you’re spending a week in Dubai, make sure you find a good venue for Lady’s Night, where (if you’re a lady) you’ll dance the night away and not pay for anything other than your taxi. My favourite thing about this night was definitely the style! We spent it at White and it was fabulous. It’s on a rooftop again of course, because why not when the weather is perfect and there’s also a sparkling view to take in!
